- If you’ve had any version of Diamond System Builder on your computer, please be sure to follow these instructions so that the program runs properly.
- Operating Systems: In general, Diamond System Builder is compatible with any system that supports .NET framework 4.0 Client. Specifically, that means Windows XP and later (including 64-bit). Notable operating systems NOT supported include XP Media center edition, XP Tablet PC edition and Windows 2000. Installing Diamond System Builder: The installation process is ‘wizard driven’ and typically completes with minimal interaction required. If you experience problems installing Diamond System Builder on a new computer, try copying the installed directory from another computer on which Diamond System Builder is functioning normally and pasting it on the new machine in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mitsubishi Electric. File Output Types: AutoCAD: Diamond System Builder is capable of outputting mechanical drawings of your project. In order to render and view these drawings, a compatible version of AutoCAD must be installed on your computer. AutoCAD functions will not work properly if the program is installed on a shared network or server. Compatible AutoCAD versions include: AutoCAD LT 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 and AutoCAD MEP 2013. NOTE: AutoCAD is not required to use Diamond System Builder, create or modify a system design or output the requirements for the extended warranty. It is only required to render and view system mechanical drawings. Microsoft Excel: Diamond System Builder is capable of outputting a Microsoft Excel based system schedule file. This system schedule file for the as-built system is one of the requirements to qualify for the extended system warranty. Compatible Excel versions include 2007 and 2010. PDF: Diamond System Builder is capable of outputting a PDF document containing system diagrams. These diagrams are not CAD, mechanical drawings, but rather hierarchical representation of the system design.
